Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
A standard operating procedure, or SOP, is a set of step-by-step instructions compiled by an organization to help workers carry out complex routine operations. SOPs aim to achieve efficiency, quality output and uniformity of performance, while reducing miscommunication and failures within the services we offer. My responsibility is to ensure all operations team fully understand and comply with this procedure to ensure that the service delivery is met and surpassed through continuous improvement of this procedures
Consistent Standard Procedures
The standard must be same for all similar Job routine
- The preparation & maintenance must follow similar pattern such as Planning, Rig Up, Risk assessment & Mitigation, Function Testing, Execution, House keeping and Demobilization.
- Feedback from customers to help in continuous improvement
- Review existing procedure to capture peculiarities of the different field scenarios with safety in view
- Document and make it accessible for all the team as a way we work
Mentor Team and Ensure they are Standalone
Mentoring is a learning partnership between employees for the purpose of sharing technical information, work knowledge with respect to specified product line.
The whole essence is to ensure that all operations team are fully competent in rendering flawless quality service delivery in the safest possible manner. The Advantage of this; is the pool of competent experience Team that make up the organization.
GETTING OPERATIONS TEAM COMPETENT
- Learning on the job while evaluating the performance record.
- Assigned roles and responsibilities with a supervisor to guide
- Line up courses that will further make team certified & compliant
- Engage operation individuals in a building exercise in performance, attitude & response.
- Evaluate individual performances and document same for reference purpose for next career steps.

Once customers’ challenges are identified, Operations team need to understand the objective and proceed with the following….
- Draft a proposed well program
- Summit to client for review
- Customers review & revert well program
- Operations to discuss objective of project & align with objective of the project with the required equipment & certifications, Personnel, all ready to service (JOB PACK).
- Hold a Pre-Mobilization Meeting and Highlight associated risk, hazard & Mitigation,& Execute job on paper in-house.
- Assigned a competent Team Lead to project & follow-up with team on job status, progress & provide much needed technical assistant or others as they occur.
